What to do with your dog in the area
Around EuroParcs IJsselmeer there are plenty of opportunities to be active together. Directly opposite the park you will find the recreational area on the foreshore, an ideal place for long walks and games with your dog. There are also several dog beaches in the area, where your four-legged friend can run and swim freely. Walking route Vooroever & Groote Vliet
The Vooroever & Groote Vliet route is perfect for a varied walk with your dog. This route of about 8.5 km takes you along the dike with a view of the IJsselmeer, the Vlietlanden and via the old canal polder back to Onderdijk. Dogs are welcome on a leash. Here you can enjoy your walk to the fullest.
De Vooroever – Medemblik
Direct tegenover het park ligt de Vooroever, een uitgestrekt natuur- en recreatiegebied langs het IJsselmeer. Hier kun je genieten van de frisse lucht, terwijl je viervoeter lekker rondrent in de losloopgebieden. Ook is er een klein stukje strand waar honden zelfs kunnen zwemmen. Vergeet niet om je hond aangelijnd te houden op het park en in andere delen van het gebied.
